This cave in Taroko Taiwan, was the place where Christianity first begun amongst the local Taroko people. During the Japanese occupation the Japanese used to persecute christians thinking it was an American religion, so the first convert (a local tarokoan lady) gathered her followers in this cave so as to hide from the Japanese; miraculously they were never found.

On a bitterly cold winter morning, a very good friend of mine introduced me to this river on the roadside in Taiwan. The reason for these extreme close-ups was due to the fact that in terms of views, this was it. This is life in Taiwan .. Selective viewing, A friend once advised me, "You see what you want to see."
